About The Apple House

The building at the heart of the Orchard has been designed by architect, Ben Stuart-Smith, as part of the architecture and design collective Okra. It uses almost exclusively natural materials above ground level, including hempcrete walls, oak cladding and an unfired clay floor which was sourced and prepared within 10 miles of the site.

Venue Hire: The Apple House

Set in a peaceful, green environment, just 10 minutes from St Albans and major transport links, The Apple House is available for private hire; and is the perfect venue for photoshoots, corporate away-days, wellbeing and creative workshops, community and fundraising events and horticultural events.

Our guests can enjoy exclusive access of The Apple House as well as access to the surrounding Plant Library.
